Hey it was July 16-21st heat wasn’t to bad 31• but this was back in 2017
How do i know if a have a real bill ?
The watermark is a big give away and also the smell. There aren’t many of these counterfeited and they are not that popular.
5:11 new sub. I am thinking about ordering a gold coin from Stonex. Had you any issues with them?
Hey thanks great to have you aboard. Yeah I’d have no problem ordering from them, I’ve never had a problem with them
You'll be needing another rising soon.
😂😂😂
Love the history! I live in the USA, My family is the Butler’s. This is a chance for me to have some sort of connection - through your channel. Thanks again

Irish notes are realy nice
I think they're very nice especially this series, good to hear from you man
Good to know that there’s a 100 pound note on the B series but wasn’t released due to late submission of the designed
Yeah , i seen that before and the Central Bank of Ireland did a video on it on there instagram
Irish banknotes are some of my favourites keep up the great work and hopefully you can do a video about ALL of em
Hey, thanks for saying so, yeah ill do a few of them in the coming weeks hopefully.
Love that video pal. Jaysus, I remember getting them in Birthday cards from my Aunties haha. When money was money
Lol, thanks man. Yeah i rember getting one of these from the credit union before my parents took me on holiday 😂 good times. Chat soon.
Love those big notes. I hate the current money getting smaller with each series.
Me too, yeah the big notes are great looking however unpractical as they are, i love them.
@@Irishsilverstack I think back then men used real "briefcases" which they easily fit into. (And into the common ladies wallets and purses they still would fit today.)
I wish this had a quick access pocket on the outside. Only complaint, but it is nice
The primary card section can be a quick access pocket if you tuck the flap under the cards instead of over
3:01 Fiver note and a tenner series A but decimalised pound since 15th February 1971 is decimalisation of British and Irish pounds removing the penny shilling replacing pence instead of Awesome
Yeah very cool, chat soon 👍🏻
Totally agree, very nice coin and bought it myself
I love it, defiantly the best of that year.
Cool I need to buy 10 of them 😅😅😅
Don't we all. 🤣
loved the notes, as a Spaniard I have to say they look “pretty Irish” ☘️ 😉 too bad I did not find any old note seller when I was in Cork last year, should have checked better
Hey thanks for saying so. Well the next time you’re back you can pick up a few, good luck 😉
Hello! Does the 7cm small version manages 8 cards comfortably?
Would you know what value the old notes are to buy.
It depends on condition Donal. Some are inexpensive and other could be in the 1000s
👍
Hey man long time now hear. Good to see you still knocking about don’t see much of the guys from 10 years ago these days hope you’re well. Chat soon
This was a cool video thanks, I went to school spending the old £ s d. system, was 15 when we went decimal so I'm now on my third coinage in Ireland. I don't stack but only collect coins issued for circulation, with the exception of proof issues of same such as the £1990 proof in cu/nickel and the £2000 in silver. It's a pity the Sandyford mint closed, it now appears Irish coins are minted in Germany, Holland Croatia etc. I did like the nod to Percy Metcalf with the barnyard series and the nod to the old ploughman notes series.
Yeah, I think the animals of ireland releases were the best they ever released
Iv an uncirculated 1966
Very nice
I'd love to see what the patina looks like now after 3 years.
My one is looking lovely
The worst mistake the Irish did was giving up the Punt for the Euro. The Punt was 1:1 with Sterling.
Yeah but I wonder with all that happened between then and now would it have been a good idea to stay with our own. We are a very small country
I have a 1962 half crown what are they worth
Hey they’re common so unless it’s in perfect condition then not that much , less than a 10€
I have the Jaimie Jacobs nano boy and nano boy pocket with my name e engraved since 2018/2019 but i have 9 wallets and the last one arrive March 25 and is the Jaimie Jacobs Slimstar with small coin pocket and it is the best wallet i haver had!!! HEVER!!! Is is practical, stylish and very high qualitaty premium full Grain veg tanned leather in black!!! Is costs 89€ but I bougth with 47% off on Amazon Spain for 47,20€!!!! The only downside is instead of 10 years warranty e have 3 from Amazon but is was built to last! Thank you
No worries, you got a good deal
What’s the strap colour called? There are so many options on the Junghans website.. thanks 😁
Light brown I believe
Hia I've have a load off mix Irish coins where can I get them valued in Dublin ?
Wait for a coin fair or a antique fair and look for someone there
Your review actually smacks of a marketing piece and is very well developed. Selling the smell of the bacon always works... now who would want a leather wallet that does not make that crunching/sliding sound... Zounds BatMan!! Every leather worker should mimic this video! And think of it... made in Singapore too! Oh and just for giggles this style of wallet is not old and it is currently offered by about 100 leather product makers... many of whom offer free patterns to make you own. All of them use the saddle stitch with waxed color-matched thread and they come in about 12 different kinds and grades of leather. There is nothing here that is truly unique. Just look to the right of this video to see the competition... really! Adieu...
You come across like a very angry, negative person, I see all your prayers have made a difference. I wish you the best, and I hope you find happiness eventually, all the best
What a loser. I saw this comment I said wow what a loser this guy is
Thank you. I’m heading to there is June with my elderly mother. Is there wheelchair access?
Oh yeah they haven wheelchair access and elevators if your room is on the higher floors
nice collection
Thanks, and cheers for watching the video
Супер
I really miss your wallet reviews! They where so well put together
Thanks man, There has been a lot of wallet companies that have been in contact but i feel that for the moment this should remain a coin channel. I have a channel called The Great Consumer and im moving all the other reviews there. Thanks gain, Brendan
2:42 brother thank you so much for that info! Such a great point. I really wanted to know if this would make a good back wallet
Great 👍🏻 thanks for saying so. Chat soon
Polished Standard Specimen Sets
You should do same comparison with the C-series notes
I actually have in another older video
Free State silver, with the exception of 1928, is rare.
Did you know on the b £50 notes the instruments on the back of the note are made on one piece of timber no joints no not in carved out by hand and that bored is in St Michael's in Dublin nobody seems to know who carved the bordeau and that's where the picture came from on the back of the 50 B note Mark Maloney
Amazing, I didnt know about that Mark, do you collect as well?
I might have missed it, but is it actually waterproof?
Hey David, yes the whole bag is waterproof
I have the Grain Wallet and it's so solid!
Yeah I love them too
Awesome vid! I picked one up and only downside is the lack of glue between attaching the plastic bill compartment to the card holder, maybe it was just mine but it felt extremely flimsy and was coming up, I ended up applying superglue to the entire underpart of the plastic to fix it, now it’s far far more sturdy and durable
I’ve never had that problem, but I’ve heard other people say the same thing
I just got the 8cm version of this wallet. It's gone up in price but it is superb. In fact I might go for the Shell cordovan version.
Hey, cool, yeah i was asking the company for me to review the Shell Cordovan, It looks so nice
Do you sell anything? Like your Guernsey mint doubles?
Hey, no I don’t sell, at least not at the moment
Nice coins
Hey Charles thanks for saying so, chat to you again 👍🏻
Nice coin have a great new year
You too
Very nice. Athbhliain faoi mhaise duit!
Thank you
Big like number 19! Happy new year!
Happy new year to you too
Very nice. Good to see what other Irish people are stacking
Thanks Carlos
nice coins
Thank you
Well that was a very interesting video, thanks! but it also asked some questions, the answers of which some I knew others I didn't and had to research. The Royal mint in London made the Irish pre- decimal coins, and as the mint moved to Wales some decimal coins i.e. the 50,000 1971 decimal sets were still made in London later before Sandyford mint opened they were all made in wales. No decimal coins (definitive coins i.e. for circulation) were made in Birmingham. However Kings Norton mint (later absorbed into the Birmingham mint) made dies for many other mints including dies for the 1968 Irish 1d, struck in London. Kings Norton made dies for the Sandyford mint and some specimen coins struck in the Kings Norton works found their way into the market place. Have a look at "Irish specimen coins from the Kings Norton Collection". But I would like to know how PCGS can tell a coin struck in Kings Norton from a coin struck in Sandyford given they used the same dies? unless the blanks sourced in Sandyford were of a different composition? The 1/2P was from a manuscript in the Cathedral in Cologne, the 1P from the book of Kells and the 2P from and illumination from the second bible of Charles the Bald in the Bibliotheque in Paris. Well I spent 14 minutes watching and an 2 hours researching it, but I did enjoy it Thanks.
Thanks for the info, yeah I know I’ve often wondered how they can tell the difference in mints too
